You probably wouldn't be able to install it yourself, so you would need a professional. The cost can be large so you would have to make sure this was an investment you put some thought into.

You can decide to get a smaller point of use water unit, which wouldn't cost you as much and it's easier to have installed. The whole house system would cost you a lot though, but you'd be using this water all over your home while the smaller unit is meant usually for just drinking or cooking purpose.
